The video discusses the work of the Fundación Biodiversidad Argentina (Argentine Biodiversity Foundation) and its impact on environmental conservation in the country. Achievements are mentioned, such as the creation of nature reserves in different regions of Argentina, including Misiones and Jujuy, and its collaboration with indigenous communities such as the Guaraní. Current challenges are also addressed, such as the illegal hunting of iconic species like the jaguar, driven by international trade to countries in Asia. The foundation has promoted legal actions to combat these activities. Furthermore, the importance of promoting sustainable practices is underscored, using resources such as wild animal fibers without compromising biodiversity, following an approach of “living off the interest and not the capital.”

The video also highlights the need for firmer environmental policies and the strengthening of international agreements like CITES to protect flora and fauna from illegal trade. A call is made to the new generations to get involved in conservation, to study, and to commit to this cause, recognizing the essential role of education in protecting the environment. Finally, it expresses the hope that international cooperation and joint effort can ensure a more sustainable future for endangered species and ecosystems.
